Job Opportunity- Outreach Assistant
The Milk River Watershed Council of Canada is looking for one individual to fulfill the role of Outreach Assistant for the 2025 summer season. This position has a flexible start date, as early as May 1st 2025 and ending on August 31st. Position length can be vary between 8-16 weeks in length. Candidate must be between the ages of 15 and 30 to be considered for the position.
Position Description:
- Assist in the delivery of education programs and activities related to watershed stewardship, agriculture, and environmental sciences throughout the watershed, including local parks, river access points, and at community events.
- Assist in the field assessment and collection of watershed health monitoring data.
- Assist in field work and data collection for the Little Fish Big Stewardship Program.
- Gain skills in public presentation delivery, environmental stewardship, ecological field assessment, as well as communicating with a variety of audiences and age ranges.
- Assist with the development of virtual field trips and watershed promotional videos.
- Other tasks as directed by the Executive Director or Watershed Science Coordinator.
