Call for Proposals

The Milk River watershed is a unique watershed in the most southern part of Alberta. It is unique, known not just for its dry climate, extraordinary landscapes but also for the diverse plant and wildlife communities.

This Science Forum is a way to showcase scientific research/project findings that have been conducted in and around the Milk River watershed. The forum provides a stage for researchers and subject matter specialists to share their findings with engaged community members and stakeholders.

The Milk River Watershed Council Canada is inviting proposals for presentations on topics related but not limited to, Research or Monitoring in:

  • Water Quality / Water Monitoring
  • Water Supply/ River Hydrology
  • Land Use Planning / Native Grassland
  • Species at Risk / Fisheries
  • Resource Extraction / Reclamation

Please submit a proposal outlining a short description of your research in 500 words or less. (Please use format attached).

If accepted, presentations should be no longer than 25 minutes plus a 5-minute panel questions at the end of each session.

Poster presentations are accepted.

Per-diem available for unfunded travel.

Lunch will be provided.

Deadline for proposals is October 11th, 2024
